Career Beginning & Journey

When I was 13 years old, I created first my own website [static html and flash] with geocities despite limited learning resources and other resources like a pc and a network. Still remembered , all the times i pestered my mom for allowance money & car-drop trips to cyber cafes so i can pursue this hobby. Backed then, i carried my floppy discs around places to move files around.

After graduating with a Dean’s Honors (First Class CGPA 3.86) & Bachelor Degree in Business Information Systems,started my first software programming job at 4 Jan 2010 with Silverlake Systems . Mostly dabbled with AS400 environment, rpgle and clle programming languange.

Then , I moved on to work with JAVA programming language, modern front-end programming and Mobile app development as I realised this is where my passion lies. It was not an easy transition initially, given the fact that front-end and mobile development environment changes rapidly before a stabilized standard can be established. To top it off, there were many frameworks , plugins and sytax to use.

With that factor in my mind, mobile devices, browsers,versioning and standards by operating system and vendor varies greatly too. However, with much perseverance and grit, i pulled through, and mastered the essential skills and framework of web and app programming technologies such that I have the confidence to tell anyone now, i own the skill to survive and adapt and eventually dominate in this volatile environment.

Career Direction
As my experiences and hands-on codes delivered ranged from AS400, java to web frontend to hybrid mobile apps, generally i considered myself a full-stack developer in Malaysia. My vision ideally is to be a technical specialist in the web or front end as my stronger foot is there.

Having delivered apps with modern frameworks like angularjs,jquery,react,node, bower,gulp and grunt . this process opened up my mind to alot evolving possibilities that the front-end ecosystem can become as powerful as backend systems; accomplishing feats of the giant established backend.

Leading a technical project team of 7 members in a country bank project once for almost half a year, I am blessed to showcase and control the approach to solve business and coder problems. It is more than just code. It is the environment and automation that shows how well the project nourishes. With that, i also am blessed to learn and work alongside many other talented specialist well-respected in the industry.

Although, there are probably a bigger pool of coders, developers and programmers,everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.
